Udupi: ‘Participation is important than winning’ retired Principal Mr B Seetharama Shetty, informed the enthusiastic participants counted above 40, in the Annual Muddu Krishna Competitions held for all the surrounding 7 Anganavadi students in the open stage of SVVN English Medium High School today, 24th August, 2024. He was speaking after formal inauguration by lighting the traditional lamp.
After invoking Lord Almighty’s blessings through a soulful singing by the students, teacher Mrs Madhushri extended a warm and cordial welcome to the guests on stage and participants in the competition, the judges and all the parents and students. Headmistress of SVVN, Mrs Likitha Kotary in her address gave a brief background of these and other annual events in the SVVN, an opportunity to not only its students but also the tiny tots in local kindergarten and play schools, every year.
Correspondent of the High School Mr Rajaram Shetty shared his feelings as year after year, more and more infra structure facilities are added just not to attract or impress but add value to the quality education the mission and vision of SVVN best education at economically low cost… with the determined support and cooperation from BES and all other well wishers for the cause of education.
Vice president of BES Mr Shedikodlu Vittal Shetty handed over the Evaluation Documents to the judges Mrs Vinita Upadya, Mrs Sujatha Andrade and Ms Vishnavi Uralla while Treasurer of Mr Krishna Hebbar, Correspondents of NITI Mr Ramachandra Kamath, and Heradi Primary School, Mr Ratnakar Shetty, Co-ordinator of National Educational Institutions Prof Archibald Furtado, Parents & Teachers President Mr Jayaram Acharya and immediate past president Mr Raj Gopal Nambiar and others too graced the opening ceremony.
The President of Rotary Barkur, Mr Ganesh Shetty expressed his and units happiness to be a part of the Muddukrishna competitions in SVVN and assured their help in coming days, especially for the growth of children in Barkur. The President and BES Office bearers present, deservedly honoured him by draping of traditional shawl and memento.
In his beautifully worded presidential address Mr Shantarama Shetty, President of the The Barkur Education Society (BES), appreciated the efforts of HM Likhita Kotary and her cohesive teaching and non teaching staff, President of the The Rotary Unit of Barkur Mr Ganesh Shetty and members for their involvement and support in various ways, the enthusiastic participants and their parents who took keen interest to bring their children with attractive attires of Lord Krishna and thanked all who organised and extended their cooperation.
Once the stage programme was over with vote of thanks proposed by Teacher Aparna, and the much awaited competitions were set on role in two categories age 3 to 5 and 5 and above, which was a thrilling experience to the audience as they applauded the children with claps and praises.
All were served with lunch and yet again all assembled in the open pendal for valedictory and prize distribution. Mrs Nagaratna Hebbar extended a warm welcome and all guests on stage recognised with flowers.
All participants were encouraged with gift hamper, certificates and prizes. As the participants were waiting to listen to the winners names, the announcement made with the thunderous applause. The chief guest of the concluding ceremony Prof P Archibald Furtado honoured the winners of Group I, with cash prizes, Gift Hamper, certificates and trophies. The respective parents were seen enjoying the day with their wards as they took keen interest in preparing them. In his address, congratulated all the participants in the colourful event, as SVVN converted the venue with 40 faces of Lord Krishna in Barkur, a place of holy temples to remind the beauty of Dwaraka in its campus… He had all praises for the HM and all staff for arranging such a beautiful event with perfection will definitely going to convince parents to enrol these students in SVVN for the forthcoming academic year.
Mr Rajaram Shetty, a dedicated Correspondent and an aggressive crusader for quality education in SVVN outlined various measures taken by the Mgmt and value additions in the recent past in the Campus. ‘This is a place where your children are trained to be better citizens of tomorrow, ethically rich, physically fit and spiritually model one in the locality… these competitions are one of its efforts to instil moral values and religious awakening, grassroots and diversified traditions and culture’ he reminded. Group II winners were honoured and appreciated by presenting trophies, cash prizes and gift hampers with Certificates.
Among others, the finale was attended by Parents teachers Association President Mr Jayaram Achar, previous year president Mr Rajgopal Nambiar, Student leader Mr Prateek were present on the dais. Head Mistress Mrs Likhita Kotary acknowledged the services of judges for the event and as a token of respect presented them a memento and profusely thanked them for their time and participation with responsibilities.
As the glittering finale come to an end with vote of thanks proposed by, Teacher Mr Poornesh the day long competitions concluded with all happiness and contentment. The whole event of almost 4 long hours aptly presented by Mrs Sujatha Shetty, Mrs Radhika, and Mrs Renuka Shetty as all the teachers and anon teaching staff extended whole hearted support for the wonderful success of the daylong event.
