Udupi: Annual General Body Meeting of NJC Old Students Association held on Sunday, 22nd September, 2024 in the College Auditorium at 10.30 am. The Programme was given a prayerful start by invoking Almighty Lords blessings by a soulful hymn by Mrs Nagarathna and Mrs Gauri. Mr Harindranath Shetty, the Vice President of the Association extended a cordial and homely welcome to all the guests and delegates.
Retired Principal Mr Balakrishna Hegde the Secretary of the NJC Old Students Association presented the annual report and got it approved unanimously.
Joint Secretary of NJC OSA Prof P Archibald Furtado tabled the annual accounts which were duly approved by the members attended.
The Members exchanged their views and generally agreed to have more regular meetings, reach out extensively to past students to enrol them as life members and raise funds for the welfare of the National Institutions. In general all appreciated various activities conducted during past few years especially – Uniforms, various scholarships, Teachers Day celebrations, Vanamahotsava, financial support towards CET and NEET Courses and so on…Various suggestions for improving communication within the members, better involvement with more events etc too were discussed on this occasion.
Dynamic President of NJC OSA Sankady Karunakar Shetty spoke in length about the Executive Boards plan and projections for ongoing and forth coming academic year and sought members’ cooperation, contribution for its success. He lauded the praiseworthy results registered by the National High School and NPUC in particular and National educational institutions in general. Former Principal of NJC Barkur Mr B Seetharama Shetty shared his feelings and appreciated the good work Association is doing to keep the Institutions flag flying high.
To conclude the Meeting Mr J. Shetty, Vice President proposed heartfelt gratitude’s to all who present in spite of various engagements being Sunday.
Treasurer of NJC – OSA, Mrs Jyothi Shetty aptly anchored the proceedings which were concluded around 11.45 am with refreshments served to all present.
