Udupi: Trinity Central School conducted its Investiture Ceremony on 18 June 2026, formally inducting the School Cabinet and House Leaders for the academic year 2026–27.
The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Purushotham M., Senior Civil Judge and Member Secretary, District Legal Services Authority. The programme was compered by Tvisha Salian of Grade X. Manvi S.A. of Grade X welcomed the gathering, while Jithvin Salian of Grade X introduced the chief guest.
The programme commenced with a grand ceremonial welcome for the distinguished dignitaries. Adding splendour and dignity to the occasion, the school band escorted the guests to the Trinitorium along with the vibrant beats.
Led by Head Girl Princia D’Souza and Head Boy Ronan D’Souza, the office bearers marched to the beats of the school band into the Trinitorium and formally assumed their responsibilities. A significant highlight of the Investiture Ceremony was the administration of the Oath of Affirmation to the newly elected Student Council members. The oath was administered by the Principal, Rev. Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo following which the newly invested leaders formally signed the Roll of Members, symbolizing their acceptance of the responsibilities entrusted to them.
The ceremony continued with the Pinning of Badges and Sash Presentation. The badges and sashes, representing trust, honour and responsibility, were presented to the Student Council members by the dignitaries. The principal also examined the leaders' competence and readiness to undertake their roles effectively.
The occasion marked the beginning of a meaningful journey of service and leadership for the young leaders. The newly inducted Student Council members were warmly congratulated and applauded by the gathering as they assumed their responsibilities for the academic year.
The newly elected leaders included Speaker Seana D’Silva, Deputy Speaker Sparsh Poojary, Opposition Leader Seana D’Lima, Assistant Opposition Leader Darsh Poojary, Discipline Leader Shriya and Assistant Leader Calvin Fernandes, Cleanliness Leader Sheza Hamjath and Assistant Leader Sweedal D’Souza, Food Leader Arwa Ayesha Rasheed and Assistant Leader Manvith Bhat, Sports Leader Aman Naik and Assistant Leader Vedika Nair and Sergeant-at-Arms Suparna R. Suvarna.
The House Leaders are Alina Jestin and Laksh L. Salian (La Verna), Riyona Pinto and Bhargav (Spoleto), Veeksha Karkera and Rovan D’Silva (Rivo Torto), and Anshul Vishwanath and Tejas Rajesh Salian (Greccio).
A symbolic and significant transfer of leadership responsibilities took place during the Investiture Ceremony. The Assistant School Pupil Leader of the previous academic year, Ifra Taj, formally handed over the School Flag to the Principal, who in turn entrusted it to the newly elected Head Girl, signifying the transfer of authority and responsibility to the new student leadership team.
The ceremony was followed by the handing over of the House Flags. The outgoing house leaders passed on their respective flags to the newly elected house leaders, marking the continuation of the school’s leadership tradition. The new house leaders then proudly placed the flags at the designated locations at the entrance of the Trinitorium.
The formal inauguration of the Student Council for the academic year 2026–27 was conducted in a unique and meaningful manner. The dignitaries, accompanied by the newly appointed cabinet members, inaugurated the council by unrolling the names of the four houses and pinning the responsibilities of the student leaders onto a symbolic Leadership Tree. This act represented the growth of leadership, accountability, service and collective responsibility within the school community.
A highlight of the ceremony was the address delivered by the newly elected Head Girl, Ms. Princia Dsouza. In her speech, she expressed her gratitude to the school management, teachers, and fellow students for placing their trust in her and the newly elected cabinet.
She shared her vision and aspirations for the academic year, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, responsibility, discipline and service.
The chief guest was felicitated by the school management as a mark of gratitude and respect for his distinguished service and contributions to the field of justice and public welfare.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest highlighted the qualities of effective leadership and commended the school for nurturing responsible, confident and service-oriented young leaders.
In his address, the Principal congratulated the newly elected Student Council members and encouraged them to lead by example, uphold the values of the school and carry out their responsibilities with sincerity and commitment. He also urged the students to cultivate qualities such as integrity, teamwork, perseverance and compassion in their journey as leaders.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prithvi Kunder of Grade X followed by the national anthem.
