Trinity Central School, Perampalli Hosts a Vibrant Inter-School Singing and Dancing Competition.

Udupi: Trinity Central School, Perampalli, came alive with music, rhythm, creativity and youthful  enthusiasm as it hosted TRINOVA 2026–27 , “Where New Stars Rise,” an Inter-School Singing and Dancing Competition that brought together talented young performers from across the region.

The event was a celebration of artistic expression, confidence and teamwork, providing young participants with a vibrant platform to showcase their talents and learn from one another.

The programme was graced by Mr. V. J. Dixon, “The Global Voice of Celebrations,” as the Chief Guest, along with Rev. Fr. Dominic Sunil Lobo, Principal; Rev. Fr. Amar Lobo, Vice Principal; Ms. Magdelina Lewis, Academic Coordinator; Dr. Poornima Devadiga, Primary Section Head;Ms. Renita Monteiro, Pre-Primary Section Head; Mrs. Deepthi Suvarna, PTA President; and Mrs. Supriya Shetty, PTA Secretary.

The dignitaries were escorted into the Trinitorium by the school band, setting an energetic and celebratory tone for the event. The programme commenced with prayer, invoking God’s blessings upon the participants and the day’s proceedings.

The Welcome Address was delivered by Ms. Sushmitha, who extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, judges, participating schools, parents, teachers and students.

The inauguration of TRINOVA was marked by a unique and meaningful jigsaw puzzle ceremony. The dignitaries came together to place the pieces of the puzzle, symbolising how every individual contribution, however small, plays an important role in creating the bigger picture of success. The ceremony beautifully reflected the spirit of collaboration, creativity and perseverance that TRINOVA sought to nurture.

The Chief Guest was formally introduced by Ms. Chaithra, who highlighted his inspiring journey and contribution to the world of celebrations and public speaking. Mr. V. J. Dixon then addressed the gathering and encouraged the young participants to step forward with confidence and make the most of every opportunity.

Another memorable highlight of the event was the release of “TRINTUNES – The Melody of the Trinity Family,” a special collection of prayers and songs cherished by the Trinity community. The dignitaries joined in the release of the songbook, marking a significant milestone for the school.

The programme also featured an address by Rev. Fr. Dominic Sunil Lobo, Principal, who encouraged students to recognise and nurture their individual talents while embracing opportunities to learn, grow and excel.

The event was compered by Ms. Benita Dsouza, whose confident and engaging presentation ensured the smooth flow of the programme and added vibrancy to the proceedings.

The competitions that followed witnessed remarkable performances from all participating schools. The young singers and dancers displayed confidence, discipline, creativity and stage presence, making the judging a challenging yet rewarding task.

The performances were evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges. The Singing Competition was judged by Ms. Ishney Fernandes and Mr. Anuj Lewis, while the Dancing Competition was judged by Mr. Guru and Ms. Krithi. Their expertise, careful observation and impartial evaluation contributed greatly to the success and credibility of the competitions.

The Valedictory Ceremony brought the event to a memorable close. The ceremony was graced by Rev. Fr. Leo Lobo as the Chief Guest, along with Rev. Fr. Dominic Sunil Lobo, Principal; Rev. Fr. Amar Lobo, Vice Principal; Ms. Magdelina Lewis, Academic  Coordinator; PTA President Mrs Deepthi Suvarna, PTA Secretary Mrs Supriya Shetty, Section Heads, staff members, judges, participants and parents. Br. Ashton was also present  for the Valedictory Programme.

The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Leo Lobo, was warmly welcomed by the school. His inspiring presence added significance to the concluding ceremony. He addressed the gathering and shared words of encouragement and wisdom with the young performers.

The much-awaited prize distribution ceremony followed, celebrating the achievements of the winners. Participation certificates were also distributed to all the young performers in appreciation of their courage, preparation and enthusiastic participation. Ms Anisha Rodrigues compared the valedictory ceremony.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Renita Monteiro, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, judges, participating schools, parents, teachers, students and everyone who contributed to the success of TRINOVA.

The event concluded with an inspiring message that every child who stepped onto the stage was a winner not merely because of the result, but because of the courage to participate, the discipline to prepare and the confidence to perform.

TRINOVA 2026–27 truly lived up to its theme, “Where New Stars Rise,” providing a platform where young voices found their melody, young feet found their rhythm and young  dreams found their wings. The event left behind cherished memories and reaffirmed Trinity Central School’s commitment to nurturing talent, creativity, confidence and excellence among its students.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem, bringing a fitting close to a day of celebration, talent and togetherness.
