Udupi: What a beautiful location and equally kind hearted people of this place Hirgana and as a part of its scheduled meetings of CESU, with a aim to rejuvenate the spirits of both students and teachers in the just started academic year, 2024 -25, and verifying facilities available in the campus, an official visit was held today, Tuesday, 30th July, 2024, at 9.00 am.
Principal Mrs Arati and her dedicated team accorded a warm and cordial welcome to V. Rev Fr Vincent Robert Crasta, Secretary CESU, Prof P. Archibald Furtado, Member CESU Governing body, during the august presence of the Parish priest and Correspondent Rev Fr Walter Mendonca.
Soon after the prayers, and a scintillating dance performance, woven with praising the Lord Almighty, the Headmistress Mrs Arathi briefly introduced the Team CESU, and gave an attractive presentation of the ‘St Maria Goretti High School’ during the brief stage programme.
CESU Governing body member, Prof P. Archibald Furtado, in his brief message, congratulated the this Institution, ‘though located in this rural area but has recorded not only 100% results in SSLC but also made a distinct impact by scoring 611/ 625, from its proud student Ms Sakshi Uday Hegde and a dozen distinctions and equal number of First Classes… the credit also goes to the teachers, parents along with achievers..’ he opined.
On this occasion Very Rev Fr Vincent R Crasta, Secretary CESU informed, ‘though this visit is first of its kind to ‘St Maria Goretti English Medium High School’, will serve to understand the ground realities, needs and review the expectations from students as well.’ This School enjoys the reputation of ‘imparting best and quality education at affordable costs’ and rightly it’s a united effort of Teachers, Students, parents and the management, as he was optimistic, this will progress further quantitatively as well as qualitatively in its mission and today the Team CESU is here to assist you than assessing or inspecting…’
The day long exercise included the interaction with students in their individual classes where the young children were happy and thrilled to share their feelings by way of sincere appreciation for their teachers, the midday meal facilities and infra structure facilities with CESU Secretary Fr Crasta.
CESU Team also met the head of the Institution, teaching faculty, non teaching staff separately and to conclude the visit discussed the outcomes and observations of the official visit with Correspondent Rev Fr Walter Mendonca at 4.15 pm, who shared his feelings as ‘such meetings and visits will serve to understand the ground realities, needs and review the expectations from students as well.’
