My name is Syed Eliyas, and I am living in Udupi. In 2019, I suddenly began experiencing blurred vision in both eyes. I visited a doctor, who recommended an MRI scan. I went to Mangalore’s Balmata scan center, where they performed the scan and informed me that I had a pituitary gland brain tumor. This news upset me greatly. I consulted a well-known doctor in Udupi, who suggested surgery. I asked if there was any medication option, but he insisted that surgery was the only solution. When I inquired about the cost, he told me it would be six to seven lakhs, which I couldn’t afford.
I returned home and tried various herbal and Ayurvedic treatments, but they didn’t work. Unfortunately, I eventually lost vision in both eyes. I am now helpless and staying with a family member in Bhadravati, who is taking care of me. Financially, I am in a difficult situation and have lost both my parents.
