Udupi: Milagres College, Kallianpur, hosted the vibrant celebration of talent and creativity, Kalarpana 2025, organized by the Fine Arts Club in association with IQAC. The entire Kalarpana 2025 was presented by the talented students with all varieties and types of themes, showcasing their incredible range and versatility. The event featured a diverse range of performances, including Yakshagana, Bharatanatyam, Semi-Classical dance, Tiger Dance, Western dance, free-style dance, and mythological themes.
The event brought together the brightest artistic talents from various classes, showcasing their skills on a platform that encouraged expression, imagination, and excellence. The program commenced with a warm welcome by the host, who introduced the esteemed panel of judges, including Mr. Karthik Prabhu, Dance Choreographer; Vidhushi Adithi Bhat, Bharatanatyam Dancer; and Mr. Mahesh Malpe, Theatre Artist. The dignitaries were escorted onto the stage by Principal Dr. Vincent Alva, Fine Arts Convenor Mr. Ravinandan Bhat, and Vice Principal Mrs. Sophia Dias.
In his address, Principal Dr. Vincent Alva emphasized that this stage is a holy place for all of us, and he highlighted the importance of respecting the platform and showcasing talents with humility. Mrs. Adithi Bhat inspired and motivated the students with her words, highlighting the significance of healthy competition. The competition featured eight teams from different classes, each with a unique theme. The students presented their ideas and talents through various performances, showcasing their creativity and skills.
The prize distribution ceremony saw Dr. Beneson Christo Dos, Tamil Nadu Rev David CSI Church, Kodikal Mangalore, as the chief guest. Dr. Alva introduced Dr. Dos to the audience, and he was welcomed warmly. The final-year (link unavailable) class bagged the first place, while the final-year BCA B class and second-year BCA class secured the second and third places, respectively. During the ceremony, Dr. Beneson Christo Dos sang a melodious song, leaving a lasting impression on the students and staff. On demand of the students, Dr. Alva then sang a song, showcasing his talent and bringing joy to the audience. The students cheered and expressed their happiness at their principal’s musical talent.
The program concluded with a sense of accomplishment, creativity, and camaraderie, thanks to the efforts of the Fine Arts Club, IQAC, and the college administration. Mr. Ravinandan Bhat, Fine Arts Convenor, revealed the results of Talent Day, announced the team winners, and proposed a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all involved in making Kalarpana 2025 a success. The event was smoothly conducted, with Mrs. Chaithra, Co-convener of Fine Arts, serving as the program’s compere. The presence of teaching and administrative staff added to the event’s grandeur, making Kalarpana 2025 a memorable experience for all involved.
