A renowned organizer who has established multiple organizations in the United Arab Emirates, leading the Tulu-speaking diaspora in the United Arab emirates. Bhaskar Sherigar, the founding president of the All America Tulu Association (AATA), leading the Tulu-speaking diaspora in the United States. Scholar Shantharam Shetty from Bangalore, a founding member and executive of ILESA (Voice of the Ocean), leading efforts in India. Dr. Priya Harish Shetty, a journalist and an acclaimed orator. G.V. Sudhakar Shetty Ullal, a proponent of the development of the Tulu language.
GATA is an organization that unites Tulu-speaking communities across the world, particularly those who have migrated from Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Kasaragod districts of Karnataka and Kerala. This association, formed under the leadership of AATA President Sreevalli Rai Martell, includes key leaders from 27 countries where Tulu organizations are active. The organization is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Tulu language, culture, literature, and script.
