Milagres church interior as it looked prior to 1940. The beautiful flooring and the solid broad walls of the church still remain the same which inspired me to reconstruct this old historic church. Statue of our Lady of Milagres on the high wall is the same miraculous statue currently placed in the shrine. The old church now is the sacristy to the new church. The Church with its three to four feet width wall covered with lime mortar/plaster and the flooring of terracotta style tiles gives cool calm feeling of peace. The wooden altar table is the only furniture remaining today. Some statues of the church were of wood, dwarf and looked ancient. The right side of the church structure were long rooms used for making communion particles/ host and we boys were ready there to enjoy/consume delicious wastage after cutting hosts. There was a place to make firewood for turible incense burner. The wooden altar table is the only surviving furniture of the church today.
