Udupi: In a jubilant atmosphere filled with gratitude and pride, Milagres College in Kallianpur celebrated a momentous achievement – the enhanced NAAC Reaccreditation Grade A+. The college community, along with special guests and stakeholders, gathered in the overflowing Audio-visual Hall for a joyous celebration.
The Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, the Bishop of Udupi and President of the College Governing Council, commended the collective efforts of the Principal, Staff, Students, Alumni Association, Parent-Teachers Association, and the Management. With a stellar 3.29 CGPA in the just concluded 4th cycle by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council, Milagres College proudly embraced the A+ Grade, marking a historic milestone.
Principal Dr Vincent Alva, in his recollection of the rigorous process, highlighted the exceptional commitment of all involved, from criteria heads to students. The celebration kicked off with Dr Alva expressing gratitude for sacrifices and contributions, setting the tone for a festive gathering.
The correspondent of the College, Very Rev Fr Valerian Mendonca, took the opportunity to revive memories and emphasize the long-standing dream of Msgr Denis J DSouza – imparting value-based Collegiate education in the semi-urban location. The responsibility to maintain these standards and benchmarks for future generations was emphasized.
Former Principal Dr Gerald Pinto congratulated the current leadership and expressed hopes for further growth. Parent-Teachers Association President Mr Ganesh Mestha voiced his happiness, stating that the A+ NAAC certification rightfully positioned the college as the best.
Mr Shekar Gujjarbettu, President of the Alumni Association, commended the hard work of the staff and students and pledged ongoing support. The pivotal figures leading the charge, Principal Dr Vincent Alva and IQAC Coordinator Dr Jayaram Shettigar, were honored with traditional shawls, garlands, fruit baskets, and mementos.
Acknowledging the collective effort, the College Management recognized and appreciated all contributors to the NAAC Accreditation process. Gifts and mementos were presented by the Bishop as a token of gratitude. The ceremony was meticulously compered by Lecturer Ms Prathima and Mr Ravinandan, PRO of the College.
As the official part of the celebration concluded, Dr Jayaram Shettigar proposed a heartfelt vote of thanks to all who played a role in making this success story a reality. The festivities continued with arrangements for high tea, featuring a variety of snacks, extending the joy to all who attended this momentous occasion.
