Udupi: Department of Public Instruction Udupi, Block Education Office Brahmavara, in Co-ordination with Milagres English Medium School Kallianpur organised Brahmavara Taluka Level High School Sports Meet , here at Milagres College ground Kallianpur on 24 & 25 October.
The day began with an impressive opening ceremony , including the lighting of torch and a march past by the participant students.
Monsignor and Rector of Milagres Cathedral Kallianpur, Very Rev Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves Presided over the function. BEO Mrs Shabana Anjum, TPEO Mr Jagadeesh, DPEO Mr Vijayakumar Shetty, President of Karnataka State Physical Education Teachers Association Mr Prasanna Kumar Shetty, Mr Abhin Devadiga Alumni of the school and Headmistress Sr Shanti Prameela D Souza, PTA president and vice presidents were the other guests on the dais.
The students showcased their sporting talents in various track and field events including sprints, relays, long jump, high jump, shotput, javelin throw and many more. Co-operation of Taluka physical education teachers, volunteers, teachers and parents of Milagres English Medium School were the key to success of the events.
