Udupi: Protection of the head is more important than anything else, said Mrs Muktha Bai, Sub inspector of police, Coastal protection unit, Malpe. she was addressing a group of students in the college. Police on the roads are there to help the public, not to the trouble she added.
Speaking on the concept of cyber crime and POCSO Mrs Muktha Bai alerted the students with numerous examples of real situations.
In his introductory remarks Dr Vincent Alva, the Principal expressed his concern over the rising issues related to crime and increased involvement of student community in the recent past. He urged the students to take care of the life and protect themselves from all vices.
Mrs Radhika Patkar, convener of the women’s cell and POCSO,Dr Jayaram Shettigar, Dean of Humanities department, Mrs Shalet Mathias, HOD of the commerce department and IQAC coordinator, Mrs Sushma Shetty, Mrs shubhalatha, Mrs Rekha U, Ms Manjushree from the humanities department were present.
Ms Roweena from I Bcom welcomed the gathering and Ms Amrutha from I Bcom proposed a vote of thanks.
