Udupi: It’s rightly said a ‘blood donor is a Lifesaver’, as a single drop of blood can make a huge difference in the life of who need it desperately and receive it on time.
Blood donation Camps are organised by Colleges, Social platforms and various organisations. It’s a most priceless gift and Lions Clubs around the world always at the forefront to encourage, motivate and spread awareness among the masses. Lion Girija Tallur Shivaram Shetty Region Chairperson inaugurated the camp which was presided over by Lion B Seetahram Shetty, the retired Principal NJC Barkur.
All interested especially in whose veins kindness flows, knows it’s a spontaneous act of love, humanity and concern, are requested to join the organisers in this mission and make it a success.
Mr. Jayakar Shetty Chairperson – Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank Kundapur was the Chief Guest in his message lauded initiatives of Lions Team and National ITI.
In a programme, highlighting the theme, save a life, give Blood. Mr Shivaram Shetty, Treasurer IRCS, Kundapur, Lion Praveen Shetty, President Lions Club Barkur, Lion Sreenivas Shetty, Secretary of Lions Barkur, Lion Sudhakar Hegde, Zonal Chairperson Zone III, was present to encourage the young donors. On behalf of National ITI, Principal Mr Venkatesh Krimadhari, his staff and Correspondent NITI Mr Rama chandra Kamath, ensured all facilities were in place to conduct the Blood Donation drive a grand success. Many office bearers and eminent personalities / members of Lions organisations like Lion Zone I Secretary Mrs Jaylaxmi Amin too were present to boost the spirits of donors.
Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank Kundapur & Lions Club Barkur, deserve to be congratulated and appreciated for their yeomen service as Auto Union Heradi, Auto Union Barkur Railway Station extended its wholehearted support and cooperation to spread awareness and motivate their members in this movement which was a resounding success.
Second event is to bid adieus to Class X Students of national High School, Barkur.
The emotionally packed event was presided over by the Headmistress Mrs Hemavathi PS was commenced at 2.15 pm, with Prayer hymn by the School Choir. Interestingly the whole programme was chalked out, planned and presented by Class VIII & Class IX students.
Students of Class X called back their memories of 3- 10 years in National Campus and thanked their teachers for accepting them as they are and nurturing them as their own. Junior Students wished their seniors all the very best in their Exams and best of luck in their career.
On behalf of the Mgmt and The Barkur Educational Society, Mr Archibald Furtado, Administrator of National Edu. Inst. took the occasion to express gratitude’s to HM Mrs Hemavathy PS and her dedicated staff members for their best efforts to impart best education to SSLC students and preparing them with all that is needed to face not only forthcoming public Exams but also for life and wished the batch all success to bring name and fame to their Alma Mater.
Batch 2023 – 24 handed over a gift to the High School as a token of their concern and compassion and in her reply HM Mrs Hemavathy PS thanked all of them and acknowledged that this batch is one of the best and expects 100% result with distinctions and First Classes.
All the teachers expressed their views and shared tips to do well in the exams. HM of National Primary School Mr Udaya Shetty too wished the outgoing batch all the very best in their exams and career.
