Udupi: A Capacity building program on ‘Cyber safety and security’ conducted by Centre of Excellence, Bangalore was held on September 16, 2023 for The Teaching Staff of St Mary’s Eng Medium School, Kannarpady, Udupi.
The training program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Principal Rev.Fr Johnson Sequeira in his introductory remarks said that the knowledge of cyber safety is necessary to navigate the digital landscape safely and effectively. He introduced the resource persons and extended the note of welcome.
Correspondent V.Rev.Fr Charles Menezes in his message highlighted the need of cyber awareness for teachers to keep the young generation safe and secured.
Ms Sheela Balamurali, Master trainer, CBSE, Principal of Delhi Public School, MRPL, Mangalore and Mr Suresh M Mahalingapura, Principal,Sri Ravishankar Vidyamandir, Mangalore, CBSE Trainer, Centre of Excellence for Bangalore and Pune were the Resource persons. Various aspects of Cyber security such as Cyber Crime, Digital Forensic, Cloud security, Intellectual property Rights, Cyber awareness initiatives were thoroughly brainstormed during the training session through group discussions, debates and interactive sessions. Total 60 teachers from various sections of the school participated in this training program.
Ms Wilma Nazareth anchored the program. Ms Glinda proposed the vote of thanks.
