Udupi : A Golden Jubilee Celebration was held on May 13th, 2023, at St. Rose Convent Kallianpur in recognition of Sr. Alice D’Souza’s 50 years of religious life. The celebration began with a Holy Eucharist presided over by Rev. Fr. Valerian Mendonca, the rector of Milagrees Cathedral, and a homily delivered by Fr. Lenson Lobo.
Following the Mass, a felicitation program was organized, with Sr. Shanthi D’Souza serving as the Master of Ceremony. The event was attended by six priests, religious Sisters, family members, well-wishers, including the Provincial Superior of the Mangalore Province of the Ursuline Franciscan Congregation, and her Councillor Sr. Susheela Monteiro.
During the program, Sr. Wilma D’Sa, the superior, warmly welcomed all the participants. Sr. Alice D’Souza received honors from the Community, the Provincial, Family Members, and UFLA Members. Sr. Lilia Rasquina read the message of honor, and Sr. Prashanthi Pinto proposed the vote of thanks.
Overall, the golden jubilee celebration was a joyful and memorable occasion, commemorating Sr. Alice D’Souza’s inspiring 50 years of religious life.
