Graduation Day of young BSc Nursing students, BHA and Para medicals held at, Fortune Academy of Health Sciences.

Udupi: Monday 30th October, 2023, was truly a day to be remembered by young BSc Nursing Graduates. Well decorated Auditorium, at the Chethana Campus, Mabukal, was all set to welcome qualified candidates to receive the Certificates, memento’s and letters of appreciation in a well organised ceremony, witnessed in the presence of proud parents and friends of students at 2.30 pm. It was a day of great joy and contentment to the Fortune Academy as it is the first batch, coming out with flying colours..!

Once the Chief Guest Dr Ganapathi Hegde, Consultant and Anaesthesiologist, District Govt Hospital, Ajjarkad Udupi, Dr Daivik T. Shetty, President – Fortune Academy of Health Sciences, Mr H Ibrahim Sahib, the Secretary of Chetana Socio-Educational and Cultural Society, Hungarkatte, Chairman of the Management of the College, Mr Taranath Shetty and all other distinguished guests and dignitaries were escorted to the dais by the Principal Mrs Smitha Mol and Associate Professor Mrs Selma Lewis, the event was given a perfect start by invoking Almighty Lords blessings.

Glittering procession accompanied with beating of traditional drums, music and band with young BSC and BHA graduates along with DMLT Diploma holders’ added attraction and dignity to the ceremony.

Chief Guest Dr Ganpathy Hegde handed over the Certificates and prizes to young Nurses and congratulated the recipients and wished them a bright and dedicated service career in the field of Health care, in hospitals, nursing homes, around the world with compassion, kindness and dignity.

‘Today health care sector is fast progressing and there is an acute demand for well qualified Para-medical staff in running the modern hospitals…Fortune Academy is one such Institution started in this semi urban locality to provide class one training to the aspirants in these fields’. Guest of Honour Mr Ibrahim Saheb opined. He was handing over the Certificates to successful DMLT qualified students.

In his well-knitted presidential address, Dr Daivik Shetty focussed on many issues, helpful to the Nursing and Para-medical graduates to imbibe to be successful in health care. ‘What one want to become and what he / she has to do to accomplish it, in his / her career is significant and continuously remember and revisit and focus on the life objectives, in spite of challenges and hindrances’…, he also highlighted the role of Nurses in today’s healthcare field….

In the beginning Principal Prof Smitha Mol extended a warm and cordial welcome to all gathered – guests, parents and students. Lecturers Mrs Veena and Mrs Ambika meticulously compered the proceedings, promptly supported by all the teaching and non-teaching faculty of the College. Associate Professor, Mrs Selma Lewis proposed a vote of thanks to all who made the first Graduation ceremony a most memorable event.

Variety entertainment programmes with a focus on rich cultural heritage comprising dance, music and yakshagana were presented by the students to enthral the audience.
