Udupi: The 77th Independence Day of our Motherland was celebrated at Milagres High School (Kannada Medium), Kallianpur, with great splendor and enthusiasm. V. Rev. Fr. Valerian Mendonca, the school’s correspondent, graced the function as the Chief Guest. He hoisted the tricolour and delivered a message to the students about the significance of Independence Day. Also in attendance were Mr. Melvin Sequeira, the Vice President of the PPC, Mrs. Eugene Rebello, the PPC Secretary, and Sister Anita D’Souza, the School Principal.
The students efficiently managed the event. Harsha extended a warm welcome to all the gathered students. Ankita spoke about the importance of Independence Day. Prasanna delivered a vote of thanks to everyone present on the occasion. Zaifa meticulously compered the entire program, ensuring a smooth flow.
The school’s music team, supported by the school band, performed a prayer song and a patriotic song that filled everyone with pride and stirred patriotic emotions.
Sweets were distributed to everyone present through the generosity of the Milagres Friends Club. The event captured the essence of patriotism and unity, serving as a reminder of the sacrifices and achievements that have shaped our nation.
