Udupi: The inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Milagres Play School was held on Tuesday, 13th June 2023, at 10:00 AM. Headmistress Sr. Shanthi P. D’Souza warmly welcomed the gathering, expressing her gratitude to all those present for their support and encouragement.
Rev. Fr. Valerian Mendonca, the correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions presided over the function. He, accompanied by two children from the first batch, the headmistress, and other dignitaries, inaugurated the play school by cutting the ribbon. He blessed the classrooms through a short prayer service, seeking divine guidance and protection for the young students and teachers.
The ceremony commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the esteemed guests, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and wisdom. The management took this opportunity to honor Mr. Nikhil Menezes, a civil engineer and alumnus of the institution.
The K.G. students enthralled the audience with a soulful prayer song, showcasing their talents and setting the tone for the joyful atmosphere. They also captivated everyone with a beautiful dance performance, showcasing their creativity and enthusiasm.
Dr. Vijayalaxmi Nayak, a parent of one of the students, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity and extended her best wishes to the play school teachers and students.
Mr. Melwyn Sequeira, the Vice President of the PPC, and Mr. Krishna Devadiga, the Panchayat President, along with Mrs. Eugene Rebello, the Secretary of the PPC, were the esteemed guests of honor. They symbolically inaugurated the play school, underscoring the community’s support and commitment to education. The event was graced by the presence of the parents of the first batch of toddlers.
Mrs. Shwetha Menezes compered the program smoothly. Her coordination and engagement added to the overall success of the inauguration.
