National Industrial Training Institute (NITI) at Barkur joyfully Celebrate ‘Ayudha Pooja’

Udupi: “The blessings of Almighty work like shield for all of us and make us strong and powerful as we the Students, Teachers and Management gathered together to offer Ayudha Pooja. Unlike in traditional courses, here we have various machineries and equipments in the workshop, mechanical and electrical, Computerised and manual and we learn / teach to handle them… and inherent threat or risk which is there, will be taken care by enough precautions… however in our dealing we seek Gods hand of protection and safety…” – the Principal of NITI Venktesh Krimadhari told in his address to the guests and students. He was extending a warm and homely welcome to all gathered…

NITI beautifully organise ‘Ayudha Pooja’ every year during Navarathri. This year too as many as at nine locations the arrangements were made by students from various streams with installing Portrait Devi Saraswathi as well as Durga Mata, in a well decorated pendal with attractive arcs, balloons, lightings and natural flowers.

On this auspicious occasion Ayudha Pooja, normally everyone worships the instruments, objects that are related to livelihood and profession It was festive look inside the huge College Campus with traditional Chande performed by both teachers and students, as the prayers were offered at various stations and the creativity of budding technicians and engineers was at display with various models, prototypes etc

Vice Presidents of BES – Barkur Educational Society – B Seetarama Shetty, and Shedikodlu Vittal Shetty, Treasurer Krishna Hebbar, former President of NJC Alumni Association Mahesh Udupa, along with other office bearers, Various Correspondents viz B Gopala  Naik, National PUC, Srinivas Shettigar, National Primary School, newly appointed Administrative Coordinator of National Educational Institutions Prof P. Archibald Furtado, Heads of National Colleges & Schools viz Prin. U. Kotraswamy NJC, Likitha Kotari, HM of SVVN English Medium High School,  Head masters Udaya S Shetty, H. Ratnakara Shetty, and all distinguished guests and stake holders were cordially welcomed to be part of religious ceremonies by Principal V. Krimadhari, Correspondent of NITI Ramachandra Kamath, Former Principal Prof Dinakar Tolar, staff members and students.

It is apt to note here, National ITI started way back in 1984. Now at the threshold of celebrating Ruby Jubilee, 40 years of its fruitful existence, in 2024 has the credit of rare recognition by National Council for Vocational Training. It houses two years courses in Electrical, General Mechanical, Electronics, Automobile, Welding & Fabrication, and Computer Lab etc with well qualified staff known for discipline and technical expertise.

The well organised event was marked with exchange of festal greetings and pleasenaries, distribution of sweets, snacks and coffee to all gathered.
