Udupi : Career Guidance is a counselling program that helps young graduates to choose the right profession or career path based on their education and personality.

Both qualitative and quantitative assessment of prospective and promising youth of Milagres College, Kallianpur was organised to evaluate their knowledge, skills, information and likes – and  to identify themselves to which career they are suitable… as well as other likely options available in fields such as – Banking, Insurance, Accounting, Financial services etc by ICICI & Almasons.
Convenor of the ‘Milagres Career Guidance Cell’ Prof Karthik Nayak and IQAC Dept. utilising every single opportunity to help its students to recruit them to best firms throughout the year, especially last Semester of Final year students.
Team of experts comprising Mrs Pavitra Vikas Centre Head NIIT Mangalore, Mrs Sheethal, Ms Shrinidhi were ready with necessary home work with the data collected online by aspirants, to meet, interact and assess them.
 On Thursday, 13th April, the AV Hall was transformed into Interview centre. In the beginning a short stage program was held to welcome all the guests by Ms Ashwitha DSouza III BCom. Principal Dr Vincent Alva, IQAC Coordinator Dr Jayaram Shettigar, Convenor of the MCK Placement Cell Prof Karthik Nayak, were escorted to the dais with Mrs Pavithra Vikas and Ms Shrinidhi the NIIT Counsellors. Wilfa Lewis of III BCom, Emcee for the event and Christen Noronha of III BCom B, the Student Coordinator and their teammates made arrangements for smooth conduct of the day long event. In her address to the students Mrs Pavithra Vikas called the students to ‘utilise whatever job opportunities coming on their way like the one today in Banking Service sector, and to  grab them it’s always better to master both soft and develop modern communication skills’, she informed.
Principal Dr Vincent Alva who presided over the function thanked team NIIT for choosing Milagres a semi urban, rather a College located in a village. He shared the opinion of Counsellors – ‘village bound youth are always hardworking and sincere and they need jobs as big lot is hailing from economically poor households.’ To conclude the stage programme Ms Sweedle D’almeida proposed vote of thanks.
In a day long program about 35 students participated in ICICI recruitment drive and 20 students in Almasons as the essay writing, preliminary interviews, and aptitude round were completed. As the participants shared their feedback experiences it was truly a fruitful programme arranged by the College.
