Udupi: As we reported earlier in these pages, Summer Camp for Primary School kicked off with fanfare on 1st April, 2024. It was scheduled to be for three days; however the enthusiasm of participants encouraged organisers to prolong the Camp for full one week with hectic activities full of fun and enjoyment.
The Rotary Barkur, Barkur-online Team and NHPS Old Students Association whole heartedly extended a helping hand and sponsored the event to be useful and a life time experience to the children.
It’s the initiative and involvement of Head Master Mr Udaya Shetty and his staff members’ hard work and dedicated service, in all these days made the weeklong experience truly special and memorable, deserve appreciation and thanks.
Today it was the final day of Camp. After the Yoga Classes, Bhajans were sung by the little children few games, exercises and couple of dance performances to enthral the audience.
Interestingly awareness to spread the significance of Voting and exercising the universal adult franchise to choose the right and able representatives was held by taking Oath and attractive ‘Rangoli’ by Mrs Vishala Mahesh Poojary, Masti Nagara Barkur, and ‘Colourful Charts drawn by our own Class VII students were exhibited.
In the valedictory ceremony held in the NJC Community Hall, Mrs JyotI Shetty, Senior Science Teacher in the High School, Advisor to Extra & Co curricular Activates in the Primary Section shared her experiences and lauded the organisers, as the Summer Camp to be a super success. Principal of National PU College Prin Kottraswamy, Mr P. Archibald Furtado Administrator – National Group of Educational Institutions, various resource persons and trainers, teachers too were present on this occasion.
