PTA Gatherings 2026–27: Nurturing Young Minds Together

Trinity Central School commenced the academic year 2026–27 with a series of Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Gatherings for parents of students from Kindergarten to Grade X. The gatherings served as a meaningful platform to strengthen the partnership between home and school, fostering a shared commitment towards the holistic development of every child.

Kindergarten Section

The Kindergarten PTA Gathering was held on 1st June 2026 and set the tone for a joyful and enriching academic year.

Chief Guest: Dr. Cifha Crecil Saldanha, renowned child psychologist, parenting counsellor, and advocate for mindful childhoods.

In her inspiring address, Dr. Saldanha emphasized that childhood thrives on connection rather than comparison. She encouraged parents to focus on their children’s happiness and emotional well-being, reduce screen time and engage in meaningful conversations that build confidence and resilience.

Grades I to V

The PTA Gathering for the Primary Section was organized for parents of students from Grades I to V on 26th May, 2026.

Chief guest  Ms. Soujanya Shetty, MSW, MBA, leading Mental Health Counsellor at Dr. A.V. Baliga Memorial Hospital, Udupi, with over 16 years of expertise in child mental health, adolescent behaviourand parenting, delivered an insightful session on nurturing emotionally healthy children. She reminded parents that happy, resilient children are shaped by mindful guidance, emotional support and positive relationships rather than academic achievements alone.

Grades VI to X

The PTA Gathering for grades VI to X brought together parents of students from Grades VI to X on 25th May, 2026.

Chief guest Ms. Soujanya Shetty, MSW, MBA, leading Mental Health Counsellor at Dr. A.V. Baliga Memorial Hospital, Udupi, highlighted the unique emotional and developmental needs of adolescents. She stressed the importance of open communication, empathy and parental involvement in helping young minds navigate challenges and grow into confident, responsible individuals.

Grade X PTA Gathering – Partnering for Tomorrow

The Grade X PTA Gathering of Trinity Central School for the academic year 2026–27 was held on 22nd May 2026 at the Trinitorium. The gathering brought together parents, educators, and school leaders with a shared vision of supporting students as they embark on one of the most significant phases of their academic journey.

Chief Guest, Dr. Rayan Mathias, Senior Student Counsellor, Department of Student Affairs, MAHE, delivered an insightful and engaging session on adolescent resilience, responsible digital engagement, and mindful parenting in today’s rapidly evolving world. His thought-provoking address provided parents with valuable strategies to guide and support their children through the challenges and opportunities of adolescence.

School Leadership’s Address

Principal Rev. Fr. Dominic Sunil Lobo warmly welcomed all parents and students to the academic year 2026–27. He accorded a special welcome to the newly admitted students and their families and familiarized parents with the school’s vision, mission, rulesand regulations. He emphasized the importance of a strong partnership between parents and educators in creating a nurturing and disciplined learning environment.

Academic Co-ordinator Ms. Magdelina Lewis provided parents with a comprehensive overview of the academic programme for the year. She briefed them on the curriculum, assessment patterns, co-curricular activities, and various initiatives planned to ensure the holistic growth and development of students.

Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Amar Antony Lobo introduced the teaching faculty to the gathering and wished them success in their noble mission of educating and inspiring young minds. He expressed confidence in the dedication and commitment of the staff towards achieving academic excellence and character formation.

The PTA Gatherings concluded on a positive and inspiring note, reaffirming Trinity Central School’s commitment to working hand in hand with parents to provide every child with a supportive environment where learning, growth and happiness flourish together.
