Udupi : Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, in its short span of time made a mark in the National Level in serving the church and society. It is one of the best Laity organization in the country. It should continue the good work. At The same time I request to the members of Catholic Sabha to awaken the people about their children getting good education and work in our country as Govt officers, businessmen, politicians and community Leaders said Monsignor Ferdinand Gonsalves, Vicar general of Udupi Diocese. He was speaking while inaugurating the decennial program of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, at Anugraha pastoral Centre Hall Kakkunje on 11.6.2023 By Planting a fruit plant. He was felicitated for Philip D’Costa social worker and enterpreneur, Mr Antony Wilson , A. I C. U state secretary, Mr Stany Lobo, President Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh were guest of honour.
Mr Philip D’Costa inaugurated the Decennial Souvenir. Mr Wilson inaugurated Directory of Catholic Sabha 2023-24. Monsignor Ferdinand Gonsalves inaugurated the Konkani book Amche Malgade Sahiti written by Dr Gerald Pinto.
During the programme past presidents, secretaries and office bearers of the Varado were honoured under the leadersip of Mr Elroy Kiran Crasto founder president and co-conver of decennial celebration. Dr Neri Carnelio District Lion Governor and Mr Alwyn Quadras district Rotary vice governor were felicitated. Late Denis D Silva Essay competition prizes were given under guidance of the convener Mr Alphons D’Costa.
The units and individuals who did excellent work in Donation coupons and Amcho Sandesh monthly were honored. Initially the chairman of decennial committee Mr Alwyn Quadras welcomed the gathering. Vice chairman Elroy Kiran Crasto, Immediate past president Mary D’Souza, Treasurer Gerald Rodrigues were present. Olivia D’Mellow secretary proposed vote of thanks. Caroline Menezes, winner of first place in district level elocution competition conducted by Catholic sabha compere the programme. More than 300 people from all 52 parishes attended the programme. Before the Decennial programme uder thr leadership of Mrs Mary D’Souza President 2022.23 annual general body meeting was conducted.
