Udupi: The first Day of the nine days Novena in preparation for the grand feast Monthi Fest 2023, also known as the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lady, was held at Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur on August 30, 2023. The event saw a gathering of enthusiastic children who carried plates filled with a variety of colorful flowers.
After the 6:30 am Holy Mass, the children gathered in the church’s portico and recited Novena prayers with reverence. Following the prayers, they sprinkled the colourful flowers in honour of Maria Bambina. The event was marked by a sense of joy and devotion.
After the prayer ceremony, the children were treated to a delicious breakfast. They were also recognized for their active participation with prizes. The event garnered a good turnout, with many parishioners joining in the celebrations.
