Udupi: Konkani Manyata Divas was celebrated by Mangalore University Konkani Adyan Peeta on 20.8.2023 at MGM College Udupi to celebrate the inclusion of Konkani in Indian constitution on 20.8.1992. Vice chancellor of University Dr Jayaraj Amin presided. Former Udupi Municipality president Gujjadi Prabakar Nayak Inaugurated. Dr Gerald Pinto was the resource person.
He recalled how Konkani was liberated from the clutches of Marathi to get recognition. Dr Jayavanth Nayak co-ordinator of Mangalore University Konkani Adyan Peeta welcomed the gathering. Principal of MGM college and other dignitaries were present.
